Motionless, like a bird on glass
Catching your eyes
Painting your smile
Always together, now always apart,
but always remembered like a statue on the floor
Genesis, in only a couple days
Beginning the new
Forgetting the old...
Flowing words
and late night texts
that is what 2AM is for
to find the time
to listen to yourself
and others
truth comes out
through darkness
getting drunk
and making love
faithless in the faithful
fearless with the fearful
lost in early morning fog
regained but not remembered
and so is life
it all comes down to
bright lights
loud noises
When you seem to be fading
and you can't stop waiting
For this
Time to leave
Time to come
Time to let things go
And I seem to be fading
and I can't stop waiting
For this
Time to leave
Time to come
Time to let things go
And you can't believe
What is happening to me
You just can't let things go
And it's time to leave
and it's time to come
It's time to let things go
My bed is purposely frozen
Hard and cold with nothing to warm it
but the songs and melodies you write
cause I'm not really feelin' it
Overtaken and slowly sinkin'
First time was the last time
No response and no delay from your mouth
Forgotten questions with confusing answers
Time and time, no time for this moment
cause I'm not really feelin' it
Dream of France
and workin' early
Nothing's gonna stop you
from feelin' dirty
take your time to lead them
On and On and On and On
Face the truth
and cut them loose
there's no reason
to keep these roots
they're in to deep and they grow
On and On and On and On
Shake the hands
of army grads
two more days
before they land
there's no time for ramblin'
On and On and On and On
I started this EP in July of 2009 trying to finish it in two weeks. I was on track with three tracks written and recorded in three days, but I stalled after having my wisdom teeth taken out. It wasn't for months until I actually got back to work on it. I wrote more tracks throughout the months of September to November, and it took until December until it felt right to release the album.
